My Aunt Lola has collected most of these things over the years from rummage sales. Many things were purchased for less than 1$. Lots for a quarter or less. She has many very valuable items as well. Many pieces of furniture in the house are valued antiques. It is always great to see and visit with my Aunt Lola.

Ken checks out some yard sticks

School Days......

and Oscar Meyer........

A&W Root Beer........

Badger stuff......

a Collection of rolling pins

Graters and tin ware

Crocks....

Memories of days gone by.........

There are baskets and hand bags......

There are 5-6 rooms and they are all amazing

After we saw Lola's whole mainfloor, she said she wanted us to see her basement

Even her laundry room is perfect

Here is her kitchen. She had her carpenter cut the tops off her cupboard doors. He thought she was crazy. It turned out to be a neat way to display her best china.

My mom heads into the kitchen

a second view

To her dining room..........

and her study.........

From her den.....

Everything is arranged perfectly

On fathers Day, we met Ken, Cindy and my mom for a buffet at Schaumburgs. After that, we went to my aunt Lola's new house. Lola has millions of antiques and collectables. The rooms in her house are unbelievable. This is her little girls room complete with dolls, doll house, candles and quilts.

Jeannie and I get ready to head back to the car. It was a beautiful evening and little lanterns were lit and burning along the path through the woods back to the car. We had a real nice time.

Buggies and horses were everywhere

WTMJ's Johnathan Green ( in the union uniform) was the auctioneer.

Back at the Inn, an auction took place

They were an elderly group, but they sure could play.

We got some food and drink and listened to the Big Band music out side the church.

We headed down the main street past the blacksmith shop, and the mill to the Church

Wagons kept passing through

Beer was from all the small breweries in Wisconsin

Their music was outstanding

A jazz band played at the Inn

There were carriage rides available

The guitarist played and sang as we ate and listened

There was Bluegrass at the Farmers Hall and Classic Rock at an English residence.

People sit and listen to the music as they sample the wares

sample the foods, wines and beers.

Everyone walks to various buildings in the English settlement and......

During Midsummer Magic, the park has music, food, beers and wines from around Wisconsin.

We went to Old World Wisconsin to celebrate Midsummer Magic. Old World Wisconsin is a State Historical site. Old buildings from around Wisconsin have been relocated here and arranged in various locations in the park. There is an English Settlement, two German settlements, Norwegian, Finnish and Swiss settlements. (the primary early settlers of Wisconsin), During normal days, there are people dressed in the clothing of the era who give you guided tours or demonstrate the activities and work that our ancestors had to do. It's a beautiful setting and very educational for old and young alike.

The two girls in my life. What a lucky guy

And heads to her softball game

She puts on her shades....

Jacie took off right after James

He's gone........

James was heading home when I took these pictures
